Also known as Dublin Bay Prawns or Norway Lobster, Langoustine are one of Scotland鈥檚 most profitable exports and one of the few sources of income for West Coast communities.聽Langoustine are caught by two different methods of fishing 鈥 Creeling and trawling.聽Creels caught prawns are kept alive and sold to the premium restaurant markets at home and abroad.聽Trawled prawns are caught in bulk and mainly sold for the frozen prawn tail or scampi market.

Bill is the skipper of the scallop Dredger 鈥淰ikingborg鈥. He fishes out of Mallaig in the same areas as prawn trawlers and creel boats.
