Franz Ferdinand and Sparks

Stuart Maconie presents solo and is joined by hybrid band FFS, which combines members of Sparks and Franz Ferdinand.

Squire Stuart Maconie of the 6 Music parish presents the show solo today but is joined by none other than band hybrid, FFS! It's a new super-group combining Scottish band Franz Ferdinand and LA-based art-pop band Sparks, and they debuted their first single on this very show at the start of April. Now touring the UK, Ron and Russell Mael (Sparks) and Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand) pop by the Mediacity studio for a quick chinwag before their gig.

But what's for sure is that YOU, the actual listener, will have the chance to be on the wireless by taking part in the never-ending Chain of conjoined records - or huddle round the office DAB speaker with your favourite afternoon beverage to gain victory in today's Teatime Themetime.
