大象传媒 Radio 2's Friday Night is Music Night scores a touch down at the Hackney Empire, just in time for the kick off of this year's Rugby World Cup. Ken Bruce and Radio 4's sports supremo Garry Richardson present a very special celebration for rugby fans and music fans alike. Artists include Louise Dearman (Wicked, Evita, Guys & Dolls); Camilla Kerslake (Les Miserables in Concert) and Simon Thomas (Phantom of the Opera, The Royals). With special guests Alistair McGowan, Richard Stilgoe, Connor O'Shea, Nigel Walker, Bill Beaumont, England Women's Captain Maggie Alphonsi, and an exclusive contribution from England coach Stuart Lancaster. Plus the gutsy sound of The London Voices alongside the mighty 60 piece 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra, conducted by Michael England.

The concert features rugby's great anthems, Swing Low Sweet Chariot, Flower of Scotland, Ireland's Call and Bread of Heaven, as well as songs of hope and inspiration including Search For The Hero, Let The River Run, This Is The Moment, One Moment In Time and, from the classic rugby movie, Invictus - The World in Union. Plus stirring film scores from John Barry (James Bond, Zulu) John Williams (Superman) and Bill Conti (Rocky).
