Jon Hillcock sits in and is joined by one of his favourite bands, Ultimate Painting. Jack Cooper and James Hoare from the group deliver a 3 Minute Epiphany on the magic chemistry within song-writing duos.

With Jack and James already earning their crust in two great indie bands, Mazes and Veronica Falls respectively, the pair joined forces in 2014 after meeting on a European tour. The name Ultimate Painting is a homage to the celebrated art piece created by the collaborative community Drop City, who have been described as the first 'hippie commune'. Releasing their self-titled debut album in October last year, Ultimate Painting's second offering 'Green Lanes', recorded on one-inch tape, is released on August 7th. On writing the album Jack said "everything we do ... is always filtered through the other person". Clearly this is a process that works incredibly well.
