This was one of the arguments made by Yuval Harari in his best-selling book Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind and will be the focus of a discussion he is leading this evening for Intelligence Squared in London. But with faith in intangible political institutions such as the EU and nation states arguably under increasing threat, are we beginning to question and move on from some of these myths?
