Katie Derham introduces a week of concerts and new recordings by the 大象传媒 Scottish Symphony Orchestra. Today's programme includes a concert given during the Orchestra's China tour at the end of last year, for which it was joined by Denis Kozhukhin for Rachmaninov's ever-popular 2nd Piano Concerto, and Vaughan Williams' 5th Symphony. Plus Jack Liebeck performs Bruch's Serenade in A minor; part of a new recording of Bruch violin works to be featured across the week.
