It's Cassette Store Day! CSD's co-founder, Jen Long, joins Mary Anne to talk about why this musical format should be celebrated!

Can you remember the first tape you ever bought? Jen Long says that she was refused a Take That tape in Woolworths as a child, and has made it her mission to make everyone aware of the much-loved format, ever since (and for other reasons too, of course).

The annual event was established by Long, Steven Rose of Sexbeat Records and Matt Flag of Suplex Cassettes in 2013, with the aim of celebrating cassette tape culture across the globe.

This year, over 100 exclusive titles are up for grabs, from artists including Foals and The Maccabees. Participating shops can be found across the UK, North America, Australia, New Zealand and Germany.
