Guy Garvey in Session

Jo hosts a live session from Guy Garvey, best-known as lead singer of Elbow, who plays music from his solo album.

Guy Garvey is best known as the emotionally charged, charismatic lead singer from Elbow. He plays live in session as he releases his first solo album. He became a Doctor of Arts in 2012 as he was honored with a doctorate from Manchester Metropolitan University for his outstanding contribution to music.

As an established songwriter, he has won Ivor Novello for his work with Elbow so the prospect of him being let loose on his solo project is an exciting one. In the comfort of our small but welcoming studio, he will play his new songs before taking them on tour in December.
