The Syrian refugee situation in Germany
It’s been a difficult summer in Europe – hundreds of thousands leaving their homelands, seeking safety and freedom, many from Syria. In August, the German goverment announced that they would welcome refugees from Syria, ignoring European ruling, the Dublin Regulation, that returns assylum seekers to the European country they were first registered in, apart from Greece. Thousands made their way to Germany, where they were warmly welcomed many. Anne Lundon visited the country in October to meet some of those who had arrived.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
