6 Music Festival Launch

Steve Lamacq is joined by Mary Anne Hobbs to launch the 2016 6 Music Festival and announce its location.

Today 大象传媒 Radio 6 Music launches the 6 Music Festival 2016. Following last year's sold out event in Tyneside, which featured a wealth of musical talent across three days - including Royal Blood, Neneh Cherry, Sleater Kinney, Sleaford Mods and Bryan Ferry - this year's event will celebrate the musical heritage of a different part of the UK.

Steve Lamacq and Mary Anne Hobbs will announce the whereabouts of this year's 6 Music Festival, broadcasting live from a secret location in the host city. And as the countdown to what promises to be an epic weekend for music lovers begins, they will talk to some of the musicians due to take to the stage in February 2016.

This year's Festival will take place in February and features an exciting ever-growing bill of bands DJs and artists, with three days of live music and conversation, both day and night.
