Llyr Williams and Escher Quartet
Pianist Llyr Williams performs Beethoven's Eroica Variations. Plus Calefax in Bendusi's Renaissance Dances and the Escher Quartet in Faure's String Quartet in E minor.
The final concert in this series from Wales includes Llyr Williams with a set of variations written in 1802 that Beethoven returned to in his Eroica Symphony, and Faur茅's contemplative late string quartet, completed the year before his death in 1924, performed by the Escher Quartet.
Recorded at Swansea International Festival, the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and Gregynog Festival.
