Zeman Family
Pilot Brian believes moving to Australia could give him more time at home. But will a trial week in Perth convince his wife and stepson?
Pilot Brian Zeman has come to the conclusion that moving his family to Australia could finally put an end to spending weeks at a time away from home. Born in South Africa, he is also keen for his children to have the upbringing in the sun he enjoyed.
Wife Sam is willing to emigrate if Brian's Aussie flying patterns would give the family more time together, but there is one thing she won't do, leave son Georgie behind. For the 15-year-old, moving halfway around the world seems like too big a leap, and would mean an end to the close contact he enjoys with his dad.
A trial week spent in Perth is the ideal opportunity to change Georgie's mind. But when work opportunities down under aren't as rosy as Brian believes, will it be him that ends up putting the brakes on a move?

Zeman family update
The Zemans are living in the UK for the time being. They are still struggling with their decision.
Brian has spoken with an immigration agent several times since being back and has found out that there are more job opportunities in Brisbane where he would be state sponsored. Family ties in the UK remain the reason the family are still torn.
