Billy Sloan plays the very best in pop and rock music from Scotland's greats as well as the rest of the world with regular features Spin The Globe and Early Morning Soul. In this weekend's Musical Chairs, Billy highlights the career of American band Sparks, formed by brothers Ron and Russell Mael, currently collaborating with Scottish band Franz Ferdinand under the name FFS and also collaborated with Giorgio Moroder, Morrissey, Jane Wiedlin, Beck, Faith No More, Erasure, Jimmy Somerville, Hot Chip and Emma Ray. The Great Collaborations track features Dolly Parton and Judy Collins and in The Real Thing it's 'Happy Birthday' by Stevie Wonder - a song written in support of making Martin Luther King Jr's birthday a national holiday.
