In 2011 plumber Craig Hoe was desperate to spend more time with his family and believed a move down under was the answer. On a trial week on Queensland's Gold Coast, however, he had his work cut out persuading the rest of his family to emigrate. Wife Lisa didn't share his dream of a life in Australia, and daughter Ellie faced a heartbreaking choice.
Four years after their trip, have they made the journey to the other side of the world?

Hoe family update
The Hoe family are still living happily on the Gold Coast. Lisa has recently started working at a 听salon part-time.

Ellie is now training to be a teaching assistant and learning how to drive. In a turnaround, she is loving her new life and says if the family decided to go back to the UK, she would be staying!

Libby finished her first year at senior school and came top of her year in art excellence and received an award. Poppy has graduated primary school and starts high school this year.
Dad Craig is still enjoying the aussie life and plans to buy his first Australian home.
