Paul Gambaccini presents tracks from this week's US charts and hits from the last six decades.

Each week, songs are played connected to members of 'The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame'. Continuing our alphabetical look at the list, we hear 'It's Still Rock And Roll To Me' by Billy Joel and 'I Walk On Guilded Splinters' by Dr. John. In 'A Matter Of Life And Death', we celebrate the birthday on this date in 1981 of Josh Groban by playing 'You Are Loved (Don't Give Up)'. Paul pays tribute to soul singer Otis Clay, who has recently died, by featuring his R&B hit 'Trying To Live My Life Without You. 'It's Not The Same Old Song' highlights 'Girlfriend' recorded by by Michael Jackson and a different song with the same title by Avril Lavigne.

In the feature called 'Beyond The Sea', Paul plays a song from a UK artist's biggest-selling album in America. Tonight, we hear tracks from LPs by Robert Palmer and The Outfield. 'The Other Number Ones' are records that reached the top of the American chart in 'Cash Box' magazine, but not in the Hot 100 of the other US chart publication 'Billboard'. This week's examples are by Gary Puckett & The Union Gap and Journey.

Our R&B number ones are from 1980 and now by The Whispers and Tyrese. We hear Country number ones from 1956 and this week by Elvis Presley and Thomas Rhett. Our featured past and present Rock number ones are by Alannah Myles and Twenty One Pilots. The number one album is '25' by Adele and 'My House' by Flo Rida is the best-selling song of the week.
