Mullahead Ploughing Match

Saturday 27th February near Portadown in County Armagh. It must be good because it’s been

Windmill Hill
Two hundred years ago the demand for flour
was so high that a man from Armagh decided it was time to build a windmill in
the city. And so he did. Robert Jackson
was the entrepreneur and he put his windmill near the Cathedrals, just off
Convent Road at what is now known as Windmill Hill. That was in 1810 and it’s
stood there ever since.Â
