Prayer for the Day, Richard Hill

Good Morning.
Today in 1879 Albert Einstein the German mathematician best known for his theories on relativity was born. It is also celebrated as Pi day. That's P I the Greek letter used to symbolise the irrational number which is the ratio of the Circumference to the diameter of a circle.Today is only obvious as pi day if you write the date following the American convention with the month first then the day . making today 3.14.
Various places celebrate pi day as Einstein鈥檚 birthday.Princeton, New Jersey where Einstein lived for over 20 years does it in some style.Later today in his honour there will be aPi Recitation ContestPie Eating Contest. Yes that's p i ePie Judging Contest p I e againMusic ConcertsPi Deals from local shops.Einstein Look-A-Like Contest. Absolute genius!
I like the idea of pi day celebrations for the great physicist especially this year. After all it was only a few weeks ago almost 101 years after he published his theory of General Relativity. that observations of gravitational waves have confirmed his work and further underscored his genius.
We have been puzzling over the nature of the universe for thousands of years. The writer of the book of Psalms knew nothing of gravitational wave but understood the concept of awe.

When I consider your heavens,聽 聽 the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars,聽 聽 which you have set in place,聽what is humankind that you are mindful of them,聽 聽 human beings that you care for them?Amen.
