Around a quarter of jobs in British libraries have disappeared in the last six years according to new research by the 大象传媒. 8000 paid roles have gone, with more than 15-thousand volunteers stepping into the breach. More than 340 libraries have closed over the same period of time...So what does that tell us about the role of the library in British society?
