The Pirates of Borth

Sara Mohr-Pietsch meets Mor Ladron y Borth, a quartet of shanty singers who use a local pub as a base for concerts across Wales and the UK. Plus chant-inspired motets by Durufle.

It's a perfect home for pirates: Borth in West Wales, ravaged by winter storms. Sara Mohr-Pietsch meets M么r Ladron y Borth, a quartet of shanty singers who use their local pub as a launchpad for performances around Wales and the UK. And from the other end of the musical spectrum, Durufl茅's Four Motets inspired, like his Requiem, by the supple melodies of his beloved Gregorian chant.
