Children's services in Birmingham - which were declared a national disgrace three years ago by Ofsted inspectors after a series of deaths - are to be run by a voluntary trust. Plus one of the world's biggest collections of famous teddy bears - owned by Gyles Brandreth - is about to take up permanent residence at a stately home in North Yorkshire.
