John Toal introduces the last of four programmes from Northern Ireland's newest arts and heritage centre. Portico, situated in the heart of Portaferry on the Upper Ards Peninsula, is a Grade-A listed Greek Revival Temple which has just undergone a 拢1.5 million restoration. While the building continues to be used by the local Presbyterian congregation, it has now become a resource for the whole community.
Today's programme features soprano Sarah-Jane Brandon, Irish pianist Finghin Collins, and Radio 3 New Generation Artists the Armida Quartet, in works by Debussy, Schumann and Dvor谩k.
