A man has been charged with murdering MP Jo Cox on Thursday.  52-year-old Thomas Mair was arrested shortly after Mrs Cox was shot and stabbed.  He will appear in court in London later this morning. The ´óÏó´«Ã½â€™s Ben Ado reports.

Campaigning in the EU referendum has been suspended by the main parties but with only five days left before the vote the debate does go on. The ´óÏó´«Ã½â€™s political correspondent Ross Hawkins reports.

President Putin says the ban on Russian athletes competing in the Rio Olympics is unfair and unjust.  The International Association of Athletics Federations said yesterday that they would not be lifting the suspension that has been in place since November because of widespread doping. The company operating the franchise Govia Thameslink Rail is in a dispute with its staff and it blames train conductors who it says have called in sick more than 1000 times in the past month. Their union the RMT says the disruption is down to the company and the way it is run. Caroline Pidgeon is Liberal Democrat chair of the transport committee on the Greater London Assembly.
