This week's Bells on Sunday comes from the Church of St Peter in Ropley, Hampshire. Two years ago the 800 year old church was almost completely destroyed in a catastrophic fire and the village is working to bring their historic building back to life.
Two of the six bells cast by the Croydon Foundry of Gillet and Johnson in 1927 cracked in the fire, one irreparably. We hear a recording from 1979 of the bells ringing Double Oxford Bob Minor.
