Barbara decided she wanted to be a writer at the age of ten, and after working as a reporter and columnist for various publications, she published her debut novel in 1979. "A Woman of Substance" went on to sell over 30 million copies worldwide, and subsequently her 29 published novels has all been bestsellers on both sides of the Atlantic.
She speaks to Russell about her art, alongside a soundtrack inspired by her career.
