Max Whitlock won 2 golds on both the floor and the pommel horse within an hour in the men's gymnastics finals. Louis Smith picked up a silver on the pommel too.

Justin Rose then secured gold in the return of men's golf to the Olympics. Both medals were already heading to Great Britain in the men's sprint final in track cycling, but it was Jason Kenny who pipped Callum Skinner for gold.

Andy Murray also won his second men's tennis gold medal and Nick Dempsey picked up silver in the windsurfing.
