The men's and women's events are both expected to be a familiar showdown between Jamaica and the USA, although Great Britain harbour medal ambitions in both events. The women's 5000m Olympic champion is also crowned, and away from the track it's the gold-medal match in the men's taekwondo under-80kg. World number one Aaron Cook competed for Great Britain as a teenager at the 2008 Olympics but, following his controversial omission from the team for London 2012, he is now representing Moldova.
There's also men's semi-final action in handball and volleyball.
