Britain has a small number of troops stationed in South Sudan as part of the UN peacekeeping mission which is striving to maintain the ceasefire to bring the civil war in the country to an end. The defence secretary will announce today that 100 more are heading to the country - taking the total to around 400. Michael Fallon is the defence secretary.
