Playwright Johnny McKnight talks about the Citizens' Theatre's community production, The Gorbals Vampire, based on real events at Glasgow's Southern Necropolis on a September evening in 1954 when hundreds of school children descended on the graveyard to find the 'Man with the Iron Teeth' who they believed had abducted and eaten two local boys.

Summerhall in Edinburgh are putting on a Festival of Death - a season of art and performances exploring death and the taboos around it. Janice talks to organiser Angie Dight, who has created the event in tribute to her late partner and co-founder of Mischief La Bas, Ian Smith. Plus Pauline Goldsmith on resurrecting Bright Colours Only, her one woman play set at at a wake, and performance artist Victoria Melody - who is creating a show with her father Mike. He was diagnosed with a terminal disease, and Victoria learnt how to become a funeral director as she organised his funeral. A year later, the diagnosis was found to be wrong... and they've turned the experience into a show, Ugly Chief.
