Music from Radio 3's Big Chamber Weekend. Schumann: Gedichte der Konigin Maria Stuart. Elgar: Sea Pictures. Nyman: Two Sonnets of Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz. Plus works by Strauss.

Sarah Walker presents the third of four programmes recorded at Radio 3's Big Chamber Weekend at the Leeds College of Music.

The New Generation Artists scheme was founded in 1999 to nurture and support some of the world's best young musicians at the start of their international careers; this week there's a chance to hear four of them in concert with a brand new work commissioned jointly by 大象传媒 Radio 3 and the Royal Philharmonic Society.

Today, British mezzo Kathryn Rudge gives the world premiere of a new work written specially for her by Michael Nyman.
