Susan fills Helen and Lilian in on the details of her family photo shoot. The conversation moves to the pantomime, Susan thinks it was clever casting Lilian and Justin opposite one another. Later, with Susan is still fretting about her family photo shoot, Lilian reassures her that everything will be fine and that Susan will be the star of the show.

Justin tells Lilian he will be in Ambridge for the Borchester Land Christmas party but will then have to dash back to London for Christmas. He'll be back for the Boxing Day Hunt though and suggests from then on they make the Dower House their retreat. While rehearsing their lines for Mother Goose, Lilian tells Justin that Jennifer and Tony know about their affair but she's sure they won't breathe a word.

Adam and Brian look over the Estate land Brian wants to buy. Adam still has doubts but Brian points out that he wants to do this for the benefit of all his children.

Adam raises the idea of going away for their anniversary but Ian doesn't think they should be rushing things. Instead, Ian suggests they go for a meal or to see a movie and asks Adam to surprise him. Later, Ian opens up to Helen about his feelings for Adam. Helen thinks there's no reason they can't make things right again. Ian hopes she is right.
