For this, the final programme in the current series, Moira's featured album is Frank Sinatra's first meeting with the Count Basie Orchestra and released this week in 1962. Dubbed 'An Historic Musical First', this was the beginning of a successful partnership that would produce a number of successful albums including Sinatra At The Sands. Neal Hefti, the writer whose work had brought the Basie band into a new age a few years previously, was the arranger for this album. The featured titles include Nice Work If You Can Get It, Learnin' The Blues, I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter and Pennies From Heaven.
