Today we have pop royalty on the show with Mel C performing session tracks from her new album Version of Me. Bassist Peter Hook tells Janice about wanting to write the most truthful record of life inside New Order with his book Substance : Inside New Order. Former Beta Band frontman Steve Mason performs tracks from his third studio album Meet the Humans and Beverley Knight tells Janice how she found time away from West End shows including The Bodyguard and Cats to release Soulsville, her first album in five years.
In the second hour Janice talks to rock royalty including Wilko Johnson, on dealing with illness and loss, and reflecting on his career in music and Grammy-winning member of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, Bonnie Raitt. Plus head of the musical dynasty, Loudon Wainwright III tells Janice about touring the UK earlier this autumn and his new album Haven't Got the Blues Yet.
