We have traced the case of one lady, 89 year old Iris Sibley, as she has progressed through the social care system. In June, Iris broke her arm and went into the Bristol Royal Infirmary. She has dementia and other health needs and her residential care home decided her needs were too much for her to cope. Despite being ready for discharge from August she stayed in the hospital until early January, around six months. John Sibley is Iris’ son and Lord Warner co-wrote the Dilnott report into social care.
