Call You and Yours: How have you or your family been affected by online bullying
Winifred Robinson asks listeners if they or their family have been affected by bullying or harassment online.
Call You & Yours: How have you or your family been affected by bullying online or on social media? The government is drawing up plans to make the internet safer for children and young people. It wants the big technology and social media companies to come up with solutions to help reduce online bullying and "sexting". Research suggests that around one in seven young people has taken an intimate photograph of themselves, and around half have shared it with someone else. There's evidence that parents are now more worried about this, than their children getting involved in drinking or drugs.
What's your experience of bullying online or via social media? How has it affected you or your family? Could social media companies do more to help? What does your experience tell you about the particular dangers of this kind of bullying, and how the problem should be tackled?
