Josh is on the warpath, and Elizabeth is pampered.

Elizabeth's relaxed about turning 50, reasoning that it's too late for a mid-life crisis now. Shula names her mid-life crisis as Richard Locke. Elizabeth assures her she handled it well by choosing Alistair. Shula admits she and Alistair are in a good place now. She thinks Elizabeth's done well with the business and the children, commenting they'll be off to university soon. Anticipating her party, Elizabeth hopes it will go smoothly, family rifts notwithstanding. Shula's suggestion that Elizabeth makes up with Kenton meets with an ambivalent response.

Tense Pip bickers with Josh over the broken fence. Josh hopes she's not shifting the blame; Pip needs to take responsibility for the cows escaping. Meanwhile, Josh is angry with Rex over the pricing of a piece of machinery on his site. They argue, and Rex ends up quitting Ambridge Farm Machinery.

Later, Pip makes up with her Dad. He can't understand why she didn't say something sooner, but seeing her distressed state causes him to soften. What's done is done. This prompts Pip to apologise to Josh. That just leaves Ruth but with her it's not so easy. Ruth can't get past what they've put all their neighbours through in their attempt to defend Brookfield. She's not sure anyone at Bridge Farm will ever forgive them.
