Nihal and Sarah ask if we are morally obliged to provide foreign aid. Plus, indie rock band The Kooks perform new track 'Be Who You Are'.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates has urged the UK Government to keep to their target of spending 0.7% of national income on international aid, saying it is proof of its goodwill and humanity. He said reducing our commitment to foreign aid spending would cost lives. Sarah and Nihal asked whether we are morally obliged to provide foreign aid?
Indie rock band The Kooks performed live in the studio with Sarah and Nihal. The band will be on tour in the UK and have released an album of greatest hits, The Best Of...So Far, which is released on May 19th. They talked about being at the Brit School with the likes of Amy Winehouse and Adele: "Brit School was pretty wild. Everyone felt really privileged to be there. You felt you had to be good to be there. There was an energy."
Singer songwriter Kate Nash also performed in the studio ahead of Record Store Day this Saturday. Kate talked about coping with anxiety and finding her best mate, her dog 'Stella'.
