Thurston Moore Masterclass

Steve Lamacq is joined by Thurston Moore for a masterclass covering songs from the early days of Sonic Youth to material from his brand new solo album Rock 'n' Roll Consciousness.

Steve's joined by Thurston Moore, whose signature guitar sound has been a strikingly brilliant noise in alternative music for 30 years.

It will be Steve's first proper interview with Thurston since his NME days in the early 90s. And, this time, Thurston's bringing his guitar to demonstrate and deconstruct his inimitable style.

Over the course of this Masterclass, Thurston will delve into music from the early days of Sonic Youth right through to his brand new solo album, Rock 'n' Roll Consciousness, exposing the mechanics behind a guitar sound and style of songwriting that has often been mimicked, but never matched.
