Bruce MacGregor talks to multi-instrumentalist and composer Fraser Fifield about his new album, In Buenos Aires.

Multi instrumentalist and composer Fraser Fifield speaks to Bruce about his latest album 'In Buenos Aires' which he recorded in that fine city. This album is the first of three works involving traditional musicians from outwith Europe and North America. Fraser believes that his collaboration with Argentinean musicians marks a world first as he brings bagpipes and the bandoneon together in this exciting new work.

We preview Edinburgh's Tradfest which gets underway this week in the capital. Bruce hears from musician and artist Conrad Molleson about his exhibition of sketches capturing musicians in action on display at the Scottish Storytelling Centre during the Festival. And we hear about the Inspire Songbook launch from Sarah Northcott of the Scots Music Group.

Plus new releases from home and abroad and our weekly vinyl selection - this week it's 'Sandy Bell's Ceilidh' first released in 1977.
