Lauren is joined by Jon Savage to chat about his latest compilation 1967 The Year Pop Divided. The double album follows on from last year's 1966 offering and is jam packed with hits and rarities from the year that the 60's divided. 1967 was the year album sales began to overtake those of the 45 single, following the release of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. It was a year of soul, and psychedelia, of dreary ballads (which don't feature on the compilation), of a musical transatlantic divide and of Pirate Radio stations being shut down.
