Mentor
Mentor works with families, communities and professionals to
help young people thrive free from the harms of alcohol and drugs. Our vision
is a world that gives more opportunities for the healthy development of
children and young people.
We support families
across the UK because we believe every child has the right to learn the vital
life skills to keep them safe
Kinship care
Empowering families
Many kinship carers give up work to care for their loved one. 7 in 10 feel stressed, depressed or isolated while facing emotional and behavioural difficulties. Mentor helps build positive support networks to empower these families, through after school clubs and carers’ groups giving information, advice and peer support.
Support a child, help them thrive
One of the hardest things a child can face is the breakdown of their family due to death, alcohol or drug misuse, mental ill health or other difficulties. With your help, we can give the specialist support to children in kinship care who have suffered loss and trauma.
