"They are not welcome in this Unionist town, particularly on a Sunday". The words of the DUP's Jim Wells to Sinn Fein yesterday sparking a political row. He wrote the message in a tweet after Sinn Fein had been canvassing in Rathfriland, Co Down at the weekend. The DUP have said the "tweet in question was deleted shortly after it was posted". They also said: "All parties have a right to canvass for votes" but added "many people value the special nature of Sunday and do not wish to have this intruded upon by political canvassers from any party". Stephen was joined by DUP MLA Nelson McCausland and Allison Morris from the Irish News.
Also on the programme, Northern Ireland has become a big issue in the UK's general election campaign. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has faced repeated questions over his position on IRA violence and past links to Sinn Fein during the Troubles. Stephen got the views of former London mayor Ken Livingston and commentator Ruth Dudley Edwards.
