Lauren Laverne has a live session from alt-rock hero Thurston Moore, who returns to 6 Music to play tracks from his latest solo album, Rock n Roll Consciousness.

Following on from his extraordinary masterclass with Steve Lamacq back in April, the alt hero that is Thurston Moore, returns to 6 Music to play tracks from his latest solo album Rock n Roll Consciousness, which is out now on Fiction Records.

Never one to slack, Moore has been touring since he released his last record, 2014's The Best Day and has also introduced some core members to his band, including Deb Googe from My Bloody Valentine and Sonic Youth's drummer Steve Shelley, which means it's is kind of an alt-rock supergroup session and this makes us very excited indeed.
