Legendary singer-songwriter, arranger, composer and pianist Randy Newman joins Lauren to speak about his new album, Dark Matter set for release on August 4th via Nonesuch Records.

Following 2008's Harps and Angels, the record is his first new material in nine years and was recorded in in Los Angeles with producers and longtime collaborators Mitchell Froom, Lenny Waronker and David Boucher.

Lauren also plays out one listener's Biorhythms, there's more new music for our Just Added playlist, a Headphones Moment and all the usual unusual music.
