with Andrew McGregor.

0930
Building a Library: Richard Morrison listens to some of the available versions of Leo拧 Jan谩膷ek's Sinfonietta and makes a recommendation.

The Sinfonietta is one of the succession of masterpieces from the final decade of of Jan谩膷ek's life, a period of extraordinary creativity whose source was Kamila St枚sslov谩, a woman nearly forty years his junior. Beginning and ending with exuberant fanfares, it's Jan谩膷ek's longest orchestral work, a thrilling combination of the unique sound-world and bristling energy so typical of Jan谩膷ek's late music.

1045
Marina Frolova-Walker compares two sets of the complete Scriabin piano sonatas from Peter Donohoe and Garrick Ohlsson.

1145
Andrew chooses an outstanding new release as his Disc of the Week.
