The secretary of state is to make a statement to parliament on the Stormont deadlock.
If the Stormont stalemate was a TV drama - you'd have all the key ingredients of a classic. Tension, conflict, the 'will they or won't they' storyline. Well there'll be an announcement of some kind today when the secretary of state James Brokenshire's expected to make a statement in the Commons on what the government's next move might be. As always, our political editor Mark Devenport has a front row seat for the drama.
Also, did the environment secretary fire a warning shot at the weekend over how the UK intends to deal with fisheries-related matters during the Brexit negotiations? Michael Gove told the 大象传媒's Andrew Marr programme that the Government intends to withdraw from the London Convention - a deal which allows five European countries, including Ireland, to fish in waters close to the British coast.
