The Lynx UK Trust has submitted an application to Natural England to reintroduce six Eurasian lynxes into Kielder Forest in Northumberland. Sheep farmers are still against the idea, but the group say the lynxes could boost tourism and help farmers by controlling the deer population.
Discussions will get underway in Europe this week, over whether to renew approval of one of the world's most widely used weedkillers, glyphosate.
All this week we're looking at the role farmers play in the tourism industry. For some, income from tourism is outstripping profits from the farm.
