It's being claimed that the government's new online system for parents in England to apply for 30 hours of free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds is "riddled with holes" and risks families "giving up". The 30 free hours scheme is due to start in September. The Chief Inspector of prisons in England and Wales says a tragedy in a youth custody centre is "inevitable" because they're so unsafe.
