Education transforms lives. United World Schools is dedicated to improving educational opportunity for children living in some of the world鈥檚 poorest regions.聽 We teach the unreached, supporting children who would otherwise have to walk for several hours to reach a school.
Thida鈥檚 story
Thida, whose story you can hear in the Appeal, is just one example of how a basic education can transform a life. Thanks to the school built in Blai village in north eastern Cambodia by United World Schools (pictured), Thida now has a chance to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher.
A simple but effective approach
We work with communities in Cambodia, Myanmar and Nepal (left, Mude village, Sankhuwasabha聽 district, eastern Nepal ), to develop schools, train local teachers, and provide materials like textbooks, exercise books and pencils.
Transforming lives
Our model is replicable, sustainable and locally-anchored. Our aim is to give thousands more children like this child in Jong Ra village in north eastern Cambodia a chance to transform their futures.
