It's film review day here on The Janice Forsyth Show - Legendary French director Luc Besson will be discussing his surreal and spectacular new film - VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS

Regular critics NATHANAEL SMITH & STEPHEN will share their thoughts on this week's other big cinema releases including: Maudie - a critically acclaimed film about Canadian artist Maud Lewis who at one time was forced to sell her paintings door to door, ENGLAND IS MINE - an unofficial Morrissey biopic starring JACK LOWDEN, and The Emoji Movie - a major new animation about mobile text icons.

Later in the show, Bloom - we'll hear about the EIF Free Opening Event - an epic outdoor spectacle - transforming St Andrew Square into a magical night garden through light and sound installations and large-scale projection. We'll also hear from the movers and shakers behind some of the Fringe's most important Venues, and have a look behind the scenes of an EIF production based on Wagner's Die Walkure - and talk about the life of an opera singer - with Mezzo Soprano ANDREA BAKER.
