Live from the Queen's Hall in Edinburgh, Donald Macleod presents a recital by the Polish Apollon Musag猫te Quartet. Puccini's single slow movement 'Crisantemi', written in memory of the Duke of Aosta, precedes the last and most tonally adventurous of Mozart's 'Haydn' quartets. Following the interval, Grieg's dramatic first string quartet 'aims at breadth, to soar.'
